Jungle Boss Homestay

Grade - Simple

Overview

Push at the fringes of the main tourist trail and sometimes you get very lucky and find a hotel like the Jungle Boss Homestay. The word “homestay” reflects the hospitality rather than the facilities, as although they're fairly simple they do include a pool! Surrounded by mountains and rice fields most visitors are here to get a taste of the world famous cave systems that riddle the limestone of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, but it’s worth just taking time to enjoy being a world away from regimented tourism.

The Jungle Boss Homestay offers a truly local experience and the owner is at the heart of developing the feeling of community that runs through the tourism infrastructure here. The tours on offer are designed to make the most of the magnificent natural riches that are only just being opened up.

Facilities

Visitors are here to get a taste of the world famous cave system, to walk through the beautiful hills and relax in this relatively undeveloped rural idyll. Facilities include a restaurant & bar whose floor to ceiling windows offering tantalising views of the valley and serve Vietnamese and international cuisine. Other facilities include a large outdoor pool and a scenic walking trail through the extensive organic farm stocked with aromatic herbs, spices, flowers and vegetables. It's a great place to mountain bike and bikes are available for hire. Complimentary WiFi is available.

Rooms

The accommodation is simple yet comfortable, with just 36 stone-built bungalows and villas, each of which has large French windows that open up to a private terrace with views across the mountainside and down the valley below. Cool tile floors compliment warm wooden furniture and each room is en-suite with satellite TV, mini-bar and coffee/tea making facilities.
