Overview
For most the perfect way to end to any holiday is to spend a few days on the beach and you'll find a choice of resorts a short flight south from Hanoi. 3 of the most popular are: Phu Quoc, a tropical beach fringed island lying off the south coast, Nha Trang on the south central coast boasting beautiful beaches and luxury hideaway resorts and Hoi An just 1.5 hours south and popular with those who like to combine a beach stay with an atmospheric UNESCO town full of galleries, shops & restaurants. Day 1: After the Halong Bay Cruise fly from Hanoi to your choice of beach resort for 3 nights or more
Days 2-3: 2 days to relax on the beach, enjoy the hotel's facilities & perhaps take an optional excursion
Day 4: Perhaps extend beach stay? Otherwise afternoon airport transfer and overnight flight home
Full Itinerary
Day 1: Return from Halong Bay - Fly from Hanoi to the Beach
A great way to end any holiday, return to Hanoi by early afternoon and fly down to your choice of beach resort, whether it be Hoi An, Nha Trang or Phu Quoc. On arrival you'll be met by your private driver and transferred to your choice of hotel for 3 nights or more. We only use 3 nights as an example.
Days 2-3: Beach Days (B)
2 full days to enjoy your beachside location, relax by the pool, stroll along the beach and perhaps take explore the surrounding seas. Below is a short write up of each of the 3 favourite destinations that are an easy flight from Hanoi.
Phu Quoc Island
The island of Phu Quoc is a 2 hour flight of the south coast of Vietnam and is a favourite with clients because it’s still relatively untouched by mass tourism and offers a range of hotels that can offer access to local restaurants and beach bars or “away-from-it-all” atmosphere that will be gone in a few years’ time. Something for everyone.
Nha Trang
Just north of Saigon on the mainland you'll find Nha Trang, the beach capital of Vietnam with the longest municipal beach in the country, dry climate and average temperature of 26 degrees Celsius. Head out of the main resort and stay in one of the luxury hideaway resorts that dot the beautiful coastline and show the region off at its best.
Hoi An
Hoi An is 1.5 hour flight from Hanoi on the central coast of Vietnam. It's enjoyed by those who want a beach stay but also like a town to explore in the evening. Hoi An has a UNESCO World Heritage Old Town which is full of galleries, shops, restaurants and cafes. It’s easy to explore under your own steam and pedestrianised and lantern lit at night. The beach hotels are just 15 minutes away and offer complimentary shuttles in and out of the town.
Day 4: Beach (B) - Departure Transfer - Fly Home
Why not add a few more days relaxing on the beach? If it's time to say goodbye enjoy a final morning on the beach then transfer to the airport and fly home overnight.
